Jacobi and Monticelli inside of the top fifteen at the MXGP of Spain

JM Racing Honda finished inside of the top fifteen at round nine of the world championship at Arroyomolinos in Spain. Ivo Monticelli and Henry Jacobi both managed to score some good points with a fourteenth and fifteenth position in the overall classification. Petr Polak did a great job as well and finished in sixteenth position in both MX2 motos.

The circumstances were really hot in Spain and this made it physically demanding for the riders. The deep, hard ruts on the track made it tricky so the riders had to stay focused. All three riders were ready for it and were going for points in the motos.

Ivo Monticelli is starting to find his groove again. He showed a good speed in the qualifying heat on Saturday and was riding two decent motos on Sunday. He finished seventeenth in the opening moto and crossed the finish line in fourteenth in the second moto. For Monticelli this is a great result and with this he can continue building towards his old level.

Jacobi was riding around fifteenth position in both motos. He gave everything he had and ended up with a 16-15 moto score for fifteenth position overall.

After a few difficult Grand Prix’s, this one went much better for Petr Polak. Despite a set back in the first lap of the first moto he managed to finish in sixteenth position in both motos and scored ten world championship points.

The JM Racing Honda team will now travel to France for round ten of the world championship in Ernee!

JM Racing Honda inside of the points in the MXGP of Sardinia

Round eighth of the world championship MXGP was held in the hot circumstances in Riola Sardo, Sardinia. JM Racing Honda managed to score points in both the MXGP and MX2 class.
On forehand the team knew that it would be a tough Grand Prix because of the hot circumstances. On Saturday it was Jacobi who qualified himself in tenth position and was ready to battle for points in the motos on Sunday.
Jacobi took a really good start in the first moto and came out of the first lap in fifth position. The pace was just a bit too high for him but he stayed inside of the top ten till the midway point. In the second part of the race he lost a few more positions and crossed the finish line in thirteenth position.
In the second moto he was riding in thirteenth position for a long time and normally he would have finished in fourteenth position. Unfortunately due to a problem he was classified in nineteenth position and scored two world championship points.
Overall he finished in sixteenth place and after eighth rounds he sits in fifteenth position in the championship!
Petr Polak managed to score points in both MX2 motos. Polak came close to a top fifteen position and finally finished the race in sixteenth. In the second moto he took a really good start and came out of the first lap in seventh position. The pace was high and in the high temperatures it was physically demanding. Petr had to lower the pace a bit and lost several positions to finally finish the race in nineteenth position.
